Barney Janes is one of the founding members and a Company Director at 2b13 Productions. He is based in Bath/Bristol and studied at Monkton Combe Secondary and Sixth Form, studying creative subjects such as Design Technology and Fine Art at A Level. Barney has taken time to travel around Central America, The Himalayas, Asia and Central Europe, exploring his talents as a photographer and ultimately an Adventure Filmmaker. Barney has continued his studies at The University of the West of England (UWE) on the BA Filmmaking Course. Now in his final year at the University, Barney is developing his skills as a Cinematographer and Camera Operator through the extensive facilities and experienced staff, allowing him to follow his passions. Outside of education Barney has had extensive opportunities to peruse related skills including qualifications in activities such as Scuba Diving, Fixed-wing Microlight Piloting and Orienteering. Barney has developed himself into a multi-talented and skilled Adventure Cinematographer, who is ready to produce high quality, professional standard Factual and Narrative Content.
From a Professional standpoint Barney’s interests and strengths lie in Adventure based Cinematography, Camera Operating and Colour-Grading, which he intends to further his skills in past the Degree and Student level.
